WHY THE SKY CRIES

Have you ever wondered what makes rain into rain?  Is it only the clouds?  Is there a huge bucket of water in the sky?  Is the sky crying?
Raindrops are first a collection of many droplets.  Droplets are smaller than mist.  This practically invisible mist is formed from water vapors.  Water vapors are always in the air.  With machines, these water vapors can be measured.  They're commonly known as humidity.  When humidity reaches one hundred percent, clouds begin to form.
When the humidity is on the ground, it is referred as fog.  It looks like white, smokeless smoke.  When this is in the sky, it makes clouds.  Clouds are a mixture of water vapor, mist, dust and water droplets.
If the conditions are right in the atmosphere to form rain, the clouds begin to grow.  As the clouds are growing, they're also drawing in more moisture.  When the water droplets begin to form, they also increase in numbers.  This causes the water droplets to collide.  The collisions cause the droplets to form into a solid drop.  These drops are to solid to be called airborne.  When these solid drops fall from the clouds, it makes rain.
Water is very important to our planet.  Rain gives us water to drink, grow our foods, clean ourselves, wash clothing, water is the home for our fish and sea life.  Water can also save lives.  Can you think of ways that water is useful to you?

ANDY 2

"What's the big deal anyway?  It's suppose to be my car!  It's not like it's new.  That brat gets everything he wants!  What a mama's boy.  She treats me like I'm not even her son.  He could break her favorite vase and get a new video game!  Me, I try out my wheels and get grounded!  I didn't even go far.  It's not like I drove nation wide!  The car didn't even make it past the neighbor's house.  If anyone should be ragging, it should be me!
When they told me they bought me a car, I thought something more like a Mustang!  Even Mike's parents bought him a Mustang!  He can actually drive his.  But not my parents!  They get me a Volkswagen!  A 65 at that!    A piece of junk!  I know mom and dad new I liked Mustangs.  Dad out of all people knew if they bought anything a 65, at least to buy a cool 65.  A 65 Mustang!  I know he knew that!
He probably tried to get me one.  But mom said, no!  I could hear her now.  "He does not deserve that!  Every time he gets a ticket, we'd pay for it!  Mike's always speeding up and down the street.  I don't know why his parents bought him such an expensive car.  Alex has a paper route and he's the baby of this family.  Andy barely attends school.  We all know that by his grades!  He won't even work."
Why does dad let mom make all the decisions?  He's the man of the house!  I bet when her precious, baby-boy, Alex gets a car, it'll be a Mustang!  Knowing him, he'll probably let mom pick out her favorite color for his car.  A pretty pink!  She'd put a monster stereo in his car.  Mine, no way!  She'd say I'd play it to loud!  I'd go deaf or something.
The only reason this computer is in my room, because I asked for a electric guitar.  Oh-no!  Mom felt the guitar was not a necessity.  Maybe she thinks I'm stupid?  Buying a computer would make me do my homework?  Maybe mom thought I'd even bring home an 'A' report card, like her perfect son, Alex!  He's only in the fourth grade.  How hard can two plus two be?  He's not being drowned in calculus!  Anyway, school's boring.
Led Zep didn't always go to school.  If she'd only stop breathing down my neck about me wanting a guitar.  I could be as good as Led Zep.  Hendrix, too!  Those guys had it made!  I wonder if their moms did them the same way as mine does me?
She never tells Alex to clean his room.  Like his room is spotless.  Everything in his room is what she picked out for him.  I guess my room doesn't fit her idea of a perfect son.  She always complains about my room!  I can hear her in my dreams, 'Andy, take down those ridiculous posters!  Get rid of that disgusting snake!  I'm tired of looking at that old, junky guitar!'
If mom would buy me a new, electric guitar, she wouldn't have to look at this outdated guitar!  At least dad lets me keep my room, me!  I'm glad dad got me Angus!  Mom hates snakes.  At least since Angus lives in my room, mom doesn't inspect my room all the time.
I'll show them one day!  They'll be sitting around watching T.V. one day and there I'll be!  I'll be playing my own brand, new electric guitar!  I'll just be being me!  Maybe for once, mom will say she's proud of me.  She'd probably be grinding her teeth.  Dad would be telling her that he knew I'd make it one day!  Alex would probably just pick up a book and read until he fell asleep.

ANDY

The boy's height matched the height of a teen, male model.  Andy leaned his straw, shaped body against the 65 Volkswagen.  The canary, yellow vehicle rested untouched in the driveway.  Slouching his almost non-existent back, Andy glared down at his nicked-up skateboard.  He tapped the skateboard constantly with his worn-down, blue, converse tennis shoes.
"Hey, what's up man?"  Mike, Andy's best friend greeted him while parking his 88-Mustang partially on the sidewalk in front of Andy's house.
"Hey, Mike.  Same old, same old," muttered Andy.  His unusual, deep voice did not fit a sixteen, year old boy.  Andy began stripping threads off the man-made hole of his faded, blue, ragged, Levi jean's.
      "They gone yet, Andy?"
"Yeah.  Mom said they'd be back in about an hour," answered Andy.  His thin, lips curled up into a smirking grin.
     "Lets do it," shouted Mike.
Andy dug vigorously into the right, pocket of his all year-around, black-leather jacket.  With hands similar in size of his large feet, Andy pulled out a set of keys.  The two, teen boys each raised one hand.  They connected their hands together in a high-five slap.  Afterwards, they jumped into the 65 Volkswagen.       Andy lowered his oblong, head.  He jerked it back quickly, removing his sandy-colored, shoulder length hair from his mild-acne, boyish face.  Andy tried starting his car.  He wrestled with the gears, pounded the dashboard with his fist and the car started!
Andy backed the car carelessly out of his driveway.  The 65 Volkswagen's tires screeched helplessly on the street!  The retched sound of the transmission gears being stripped, forced the vehicle to a halt!  The car died within forty yards of its resting ground.
Andy exited the car.  Perspiration from summer heat taunted his pointed forehead.  His beady, blue eyes squinted to the face of his leather, wristwatch.  Andy jumped back in the car.  Mike jumped out!  He took brief steps to the back of the car.
Andy began wrestling with the gears!  He constantly wiped sweat off his forehead and his long, rounded, tip nose.  The car started then quickly died again!  Mike struggled pushing the car from its back end.  Andy continued fighting with the gears!
Finally, the fight was over!  The two boys won!  The 65 Volkswagen was back in Andy's driveway.  Andy's lengthy, legs climbed out of the compact car.  He peeled off his hot, sticky, leather statement and tossed the jacket on the hood of the exhausted car.  Once again, lowering his oblong head, jerking it back quickly, Andy cleared his hair from his face.  His once reddened face, faded back to pale white.
"Man, I got to go," nervously informed Mike.  Mike began revving up his 5.0 liter, dual overhead-cam, V8 engine.
"Yeah.  They'll be back any minute," said Andy.  He snatched up his leather, companion and tossed it over his narrow, shoulder.
"Later," said Mike while increasingly speeding off in his 88 Mustang.
Barely reaching down, Andy picked up his aging, skateboard.  Once again, Andy swung his sandy, colored hair.  Glancing down the street, he saw his mother's car.  The car was slowly approaching the house.  Sharply turning his head and body into a pivot, Andy rushed into the house!

THE 'V' ROOM

Imagine a fairground.  Memorial Park, our fairground.  To all children in San Leandro.  A small city in California.  The big fort, a wooden made obstacle for the adventurous, climber!  The animal lovers enjoyed dolphin and seal teeter totters.  The pirate bridge was a eye catcher!  Shiny, braided armor constantly swaying you from side to side.  Daring you to cross to the plank slide!  Only for the imaginative, dare devils.
The most daring of all, at least, I thought at the time, the sky scraping slide!  Stepping to the sky was breath taking!  Placing your Cheetah tennis-shoes on something the size and width of a loaf of bread, was your way to the top!  Being told, "Just go!  Don't look down!"  Of course, everyone would look down.  The last step was success!  You were in the cave of space.
Surrounding you were short, gray, steel walls.  Looking over, down the walls, you could see the whole world beneath you!  Sliding down this swirled, metal monster, immediately transformed into a non-mechanical roller coaster!  The ride of the century!  Until you grew past that stage.
The final stage, the exploring of the, 'V' room!  Not knowing what to expect.  Only to imagine by stories told from those who'd already been.  Tackling the cyclone fence was like a smaller fort.  No problem.  Once on the other side, glaring down this mass of land, it appeared to be a mountain climber's dream.  The feeling was intense!  Grasping the earth for your down, slide to the bottom, felt like riding a huge, water slide!  This maneuvered intensity to thrilling fun!
Nature's beauty set the atmosphere.  At the bottom, a clear stream.  It danced along the earth's bed.  Gently, as a Monarch fluttering in the wind.  In eyes view, a rainbow of berries.  All different shades of the night's sky.  Greeting you graciously to taste them.  Familiar sounds of children laughing, cars honking, the ice-cream trucks song, began fading away.  The everlasting, dancing streamed lured your every step.
There it was!  Hiding in ivy vines.  Curiously, welcoming you to enter a stone-age world!  Autumn cold, dampness ruling the air, darkness crept within!  Towering shadows fought the sun's bright eye, which crept in the cave's mysterious, mouth.  The walls seemed to shrink with every step!  Darkness won the argument!  The shimmer of light disappeared.
Silence of scarce breathing, rodents scampering, water whispering, odors of foul musk, lingered through the tunnel.  A flashlight provided dim light.  Curiosity kept you in step.  Determined to see, there it was, the 'V' room!  A 'V' shaped entrance.  It was bedded in slimy, moss.  A entrance to another dimension!
Success filled the tunnel!  It was the 'V' room!  No person would enter the web of moss.  It was like a sacred shield.  It seperated you and whatever exsisted beyond.  You had to indent your intial in the moss.  That was your marking of bravery!  You were there!  Once you completed your initial, you were on your way back to civilization.  Anxious to gather with friends under the oak tree, to tell your story of the legendary, 'V' room.

I CAN UNDERSTAND TO SEE

It had been teo years since the car accident.  To me, it seemed like forever in my eyes.  The car accident left me blind!  Since the accident, mama always tells me, "Twanet, the important thing is your still alive."  When mama would say that to me, my mind would clash!  What did she mean?  I could no longer see!  I was partially, paralyzed in both my legs!  I also lost my daddy!  He died instantly when a truck hit our car head-on.
I remember looking down the long, dirt road in front of our house.  Just waiting to see the dirt race up into the wind.  Kind of like a huge fan was turned on in the sky.  That meant daddy was on his way home!
I'd pretend our huge, yard of thick, green, grass was a gymnastic mat for my cartwheels and back flips.  The tumble weeds blowing by with the wind, was my competition!  When the dust would clear, there was daddy fussing at his car.  I can still hear his voice saying, "This old, heap of scrap made it one more day!"
See, I used to be an upbeat, girl.  Always dreaming of becoming a gymnast!  Maybe even performing in the Olympics one day.  Whe I realized I was blind and thought I would never walk again, I lost hope.  I lost my ambition for life.
My Grandmother, Antoinette came to live with mama and I in our home in Beaumont, Texas.  Right after the car accident.  Grandmother Antoinette, she was a clone of my daddy.  When she would speak, it was her voice, but my daddy's words.  She was a strong minded, stubborn woman.  Very intelligent, and also showed enough love to shower the world!
When I started physical therapy for my legs, I felt it was hopeless and a waste of time.  Mama worked everday except Sunday.  She attended church every Sunday.  Daddy and mama owned a mercantile store.  So with daddy gone, she really had to stay on top of things.  I also feel she felt close to daddy in the mercantile store.  That was my daddy's, as he'd say, "Lead in life!"
Grandmother Antoinette came to my physical therapy sessions.  She pushed me mentally more than the Doctor's!  I could not stand when she'd do that.  But, I loved her for it!  Now, I can walk again!
One night, after supper, I could hear mama and Grandmother Antoinette discussing that my Doctor felt I could attend school now.  They recommended, "Live Life," a school for the blind.  I immediately felt like I would be on a train to fear!  I was so frightened when mama brought in a stranger to tutor me in Braille.  That way, I could keep up with my grades.  I was thirteen at the time.  But with Grandmother Antoinette's humming gospels and constant remarks to my tutor and I saying, "Twanet, pay attention child!  You can't get much out of life without an education!"  She'd say to Mrs. Burhardt, my tutor, "She's not shy!  She's just like her daddy.  She has a brain like a light bulb!  All you got to do is get her to flip the switch!"  Her words made me feel safe.
But now, this idea of learning a whole, entire, unfamiliar building!  Meeting new people made my stomach bolt up in anxiety!  I was terrified!  I wished I could just go back to my old school.  I knew it like the back of my hand.  My friends, my teachers, I knew them my whole life!  Mama told me not to worry.  I could visit my old school, friends and teachers after school and on weekends.
Then the day came.  I was petrified and nervous!  Mama drove me to my new school.  When we got out of the car, she took my hand and placed a ring on my pointer finger.  I asked mama what was the ring for.  She told me it was just a little token of love.  She explained to me that my Grandfather Bill, gave the ring to Grandmother Antoinette before he passed away.  She said Grandmother Antoinette passed it down to my daddy.  It was just when daddy purchased the mercantile store.  Mama said daddy always felt the ring was blessed in wisdom, strength and courage.  I thought to myself, please let it work for me!  Then I heard an unfamiliar voice.
"Good morning, Twanet.  I'm your teacher, Mrs. Leona.  You'll be just fine."
I heard Mrs. Leona telling mama when she could come back to pick me up.  Mama gave me a hug.  Then I heard her drive away in the car.
"Class, this is Twanet," announced Mrs. Leona.
     "Hello, Twanet," greeted the class.
"Hello," I said shyly.  Mrs. Leona guided me to my seat.  As I stumbled, I felt another hand helping me.  "Thank you," I whispered.
"Twanet, since this is your first day here, you have to make a promising pack," stated Mrs. Leona.
     "What's that," I asked, nervously.
"Class, lets show Twanet a promising pack," said Mrs. Leona.
My palms broke out in a sweat!  What did Mrs. Leona mean?  Show me?  I could not see!  Then a friendly voice spoke.
"Hi, my name is William.  Open your hand."  I felt a Braille book placed in my hand.
"Thank you," I said.  As my fingers ran across the Braille, it read, American History.
"Hi, My name is Commie.  What do you smell?"  I could smell a sweet, flower near my nose.
     "A rose," I answered.
     "Right," cheered Commie.
"Hello, my name is Vera.  Open your mouth.  What do you taste?"
"Mmm, chocolate!"  Not only did I began laughing, the whole class including Mrs. Leona did to.
"What do you hear now, Twanet," asked Mrs. Leona.
     "Laughing," I replied.
"That's correct.  So repeat after me," said Mrs. Leona.  "I can understand to see.  That is your promising pack."
I felt so relieved, excited and comfortable when the entire class joined in with me saying, "I can understand to see."  I could not wait to tell mama and Grandmother Antoinette the ring worked for me!  And how much I learned in one day!
I know daddy already knew.  I felt his presence in the class room.  On this day, I learned to smell, touch and feel my life!  In my eyes, I could see again.

My Brother, My Brother

My brother, my brother,
another birthday wish for you.
Celebrating your first day of life, reminiscing the good times,
the bad you fought and overcame with pride!
My brother, my brother,
I share with you,
my angel from heaven, his heart, solemnly true...
Words can't express the bond between you two.
Truck rides on the freeway, Doritos, Skittles and Coca-Cola at the store,
the never ending day at the zoo,
the little feet that ran more and more...
My brother, my brother,
whenever you feel down,
or temptations arise that you've already fought,
my angel will always love and be there for you,
forever, Demi Bop-Bop...
My brother, my brother...

DIAMONDS

I hold you all close to my heart.
Never again shall we be apart.
My love for you all, goes beyond the heavenly seas...
All of you are a genuine part of me.
Now it's time for our lives to change.
Yes, it's hard to rearrange.
This part of our life will only get better.
Just like the different seasons of weather...
Whenever Mommy seems grouchy or mad,
don't hold your heads down,
nor be sad.
For you, my beautiful babies,
who keep me going in life,
it's our time to shine as stars in God's blue sky...

GHOSTLY TOES IN APPLE PRAIRIE

"Ghostly toes, ghostly toes, our mystery, only you know," whispered Peaches to her ten, snow-pea shaped toes.  She rubbed them together softly.  Peaches drifted off into dreamland.
"Where is the sun?  Where is the rain?  My apple trees will never grow," spoke a snow, white unicorn.
"Hello.  My name is Peaches.  This is my favorite blanket, Ki-Ki.  Wow!  I've never met a unicorn before.  What is your name?"
"Hello, Peaches and Ki-Ki.  My name is Starlight.  How did you two get here to my apple prairie?  My apple prairie is top secret!  I'm the only unicorn that knows it's here," explained Starlight.
"My ghostly toes brought Ki-Ki and I here," giggled Peaches.
"I'm afraid of ghosts!  Ghosts are scary!"  Starlight covered his sky, blue eyes with his golden, colored wings.
"Sralight, my ghostly toes are friendly and magical.  They take me on fun adventures in dream land.  I whisper to them and rub them together softly.  Take a peek, Starlight," offered Peaches.
Starlight lifted his golden wings.  He slowly opened his sky, blue eyes.  Starlight leaped up on his two, hind legs.  A huge smile appeared on his face!  Starlight was happy to see Peaches wiggle her friendly, ten, ghostly toes.
"Hooray!  Your ghostly toes are friendly and magic?  Can they help me with my apple prairie?  I can't seem to get the apples to grow on the trees.  There's no sun.  There's no rain.  Only that one, lonely, dark cloud.  Look up there, Peaches," Starlight pointed to the lonely, dark cloud.
"Oh, I see.  The cloud does look lonely.  I noticed you have lots of trees but no apples.  I bet my ghostly toes can help.  Ghostly toes, ghostly toes, our mystery, only you know," whispered Peaches.  She began rubbing her toes softly together.
"Hello, my friends," spoke a deep voice.  "I'm up here."
Peaches opened her eyes.  She held Ki-Ki tightly.  Starlight and Peaches looked up at the cloud in the sky.  His face was sad.
"Hello, Mr. Cloud.  My name is Peaches.  This is my favorite blanket, Ki-Ki."
"How do you do, Mr. Cloud?  My name is Starlight."
"Yes, Starlight.  I've been watching you.  I'm glad Ki-Ki, Peaches and her ghostly toes arrived here from dream land.  I believe her ghostly toes will help you on this magical, adventure.  Good luck to you all," said Mr. Cloud.  Magically, his face and voice disappeared.  Once again, one sad, lonely cloud.
"What did Mr. Cloud mean, Ki-Ki and Peaches?  Maybe he's sad because I failed at growing apples in my apple prairie.  I feel sad," whimpered Starlight.  He quickly lowered his head.  His golden, wings lay flat down on his sides.  Tears flowed down his face.
"Starlight, Mr. Cloud said he was glad that Ki-Ki, myself and my ghostly toes were here.  He also said my ghostly toes could help.  Please lift your head, Starlight," said Peaches.
Starlight slowly lifted his head.  Peaches gently wiped away Starlight's tears with Ki-Ki.  Peaches also shined up Starlight's rainbow, colored horn with Ki-Ki.
"Thank you, Peaches and Ki-Ki.  You're both so kind.  But I've failed with my apple prairie."
"Ghostly toes, ghostly toes, our mystery, only you know," whispered Peaches to her ten, snow-pea shaped toes.  She rubbed them together, softly.  "Is this your barn house that we're in, Starlight?"
"Yes, Peaches.  It is.  Why would your ghostly toes bring us to my barn house?"
Starlight was puzzled.  He began showing Peaches and Ki-Ki his barn house.  He first showed them his living room.
"Starlight, your living room is beautiful!  I love your rainbow paintings.  These hay sofas are fun to sit on."  Peaches bounced up and down on the hay sofas.
"Come on Peaches and Ki-Ki.  I want to show you my kitchen."  Starlight trotted to his kitchen.
"Where is your light switch to the living room, Starlight?"
"It's right there.  Next to the hay sofa, Peaches."
"Do you mind if I turn off the light, Starlight?"
"Why, Peaches?  I always leave my lights on," said Starlight.
"Starlight, you waste energy by leaving lights on when you're not using them."  Peaches turned off the light switch in the living room.
"Oh.  Thank you, Peaches.  I will have to remember that."  Starlight then showed Peaches and Ki-Ki his kitchen.
"Starlight, your kitchen is so big!  It's amazing!  Your apple shaped table is neat.  So are the apple shaped chairs and stove," giggled Peaches.
"I want to show you my room, Peaches and Ki-Ki.  But first, let me turn off the kitchen light switch."  With a smile, Starlight turned off the light switch.  He galloped to his room.  "Here is my room," neighed Starlight.
"Wow!  I've never seen a rainbow bed before.  It's so colorful!  Who is that talking?"
"Peaches, that's my television.  I was watching a show on growing apples earlier.  I will turn off the television and light now."  Starlight trotted out of his room and down his hallway.  Peaches skipped behind Starlight holding Ki-Ki.
"You're bathroom is so cute, Starlight.  Your tub is so wide and tall!  I love the unicorn pictures on the wall," said Peaches.  "What's that noise?"
"I must have forgotten to turn the sink water all the way off."  Starlight turned off the sink water and bathroom light.
"I'm so proud of you, Starlight!  You are learning to save energy and water!  Hooray!"
Peaches, Ki-Ki and Starlight double checked all the barn, house lights and faucets.  All the lights were off.  All the faucets were off.  The three friends skipped and trotted back to the apple prairie.
     "Peaches, Ki-Ki, look!"
"Starlight, your trees are full of apples," cheered Peaches!
"Hooray!  The sun is here!  I feel raindrops, too," neighed Starlight.
The three friends jumped and leaped for joy!  Starlight's apple prairie trees had finally grew big, red, juicy apples!  Over the apple prairie was a beautiful rainbow.  Starlight's golden, wings spread wide open with pride!
"It's time for Ki-Ki and I to go back to dream land.  Good bye, Starlight."
"Good bye, Peaches and Ki-Ki.  Here, take grand apple from my apple prairie with you."  Starlight tossed an apple to Peaches.
     "Thank you, Starlight."
"Thank you both for this fun, magical adventure."  Starlight trotted deep into his apple prairie.
"Ghostly toes, ghostly toes, our mystery, only you know," whispered Peaches to her ten, snow-pea shaped toes.  Peaches and Ki-Ki drifted back to dream land.

ANKH (Sample Chapter 2)

"Look, child.  Look at your healing, crystal bracelet," demanded Bastet.
Stacy's bracelet turned from black to dingy gray.  She stared closely into the crystals.  Stacy's piercing, green eyes fixated on the color change of her healing, crystal bracelet.  The color change gave Stacy a shimmer of hope.
"Jess, Jess, is that you?  I'm here!  I love you."
"Just your love alone is weakening the evil that lurks.  You feel Jess in the shadows?  Your souls are still connected.  Your spirits are one.  We must perform a sacred ceremony, now," ordered the old woman.
The old, woman plucked two feathers from the deceased, black crow.  She then cautiously maneuvered her long, sharp, fingernail in the socket of the crow's right eye.  She circled the crow's right, eye socket three times.  "Bless the, bless the, bless the," chanted the old woman.  She popped the crow's eyeball out of it's socket.  She then placed it next to the antique, wooden chest on the floor.
"What can I do to help?  Anything?  Anything at all?"  Stacy kneeled next to the old woman.
"Yes, child.  Place the crow's eyeball in between the crow's two feathers that lay directly in front of you.  Don't fret, child.  The crow has served its purpose.  A warning!  It's dead now."
Stacy carefully did as the old, woman instructed.  The old woman took a raggedy, tan, cloth bag from under her thick, black robe.  She placed the cloth, bag next to her side on the floor.  Slowly, the old woman removed her oversized, black hood.  Her coarse, white hair mirrored the age of time.  She wore it loose in a bun.  Her frail, deformed hands removed the loose hair which disguised her mystical features.
"Are you blind?"  Stacy was startled by the old, woman's features.
The old, woman's eyes resembled those of a wild cat.  Fierce with the passion of fire!  Eyes, the color of smoke.  A misty gray.  The wrinkled lines and crevices on the old, woman's face seemed ancient to Stacy.  Her skin color and texture was of desert sand.
"No, child.  I see eveything just fine.  I see through to your soul," whispered the old woman.
The old woman reached into her cloth, tan bag.  She placed a delicate, white, owl feather directly in front of Stacy.  Then she took a smaller, cloth bag out of the larger one and set it beside herself.  The old woman then took out a off-white, faded cloth.  She unfolded it in the direct center of herself and Stacy.
"I've seen that before.  I can't place where.  What is it?"  Stacy studied the faded, white cloth.  She felt chills up her spine!  In the center of the cloth was a hand, stitched symbol.
"Place your hand in mine, child.  Now, close your eyes.  Search your soul.  There, you will find the memory of once before," explained the old woman.
Stacy placed her hand in the old woman's hand.  She closed her eyes tightly.  Stacy took deep, slow breaths.  The old woman did the same.  Their souls touched!  Intense spirits raced in purity, strengthening the bond between Stacy and her sister, Jess.  Glorified spirits lit up the room!  Colors of sharp, pastels soared liked shooting stars in the darkest night!  Stacy opened her eyes.
"It's breathtaking!  I can feel their blessings.  The spirits are the colors of my sister's healing, crystal bracelet!  I can feel her presence."  Tears welled up in Stacy's eyes.  "I remember!  I remember!  Mom and Aunt Cecily were discussing my birthmark.  Jess and I were at the top of the staircase.  Aunt Cecily swore that my birthmark was of great importance.  Something about our Egyptian Ancestors and our culture.  She told mom to stop hiding this importance from me.  Mom obviously did not want to talk about it at all.  She became nervous.  Mom told Aunt Cecily that it was just a myth passed down through several generations of our people.  Unfortunately, I never got to hear what the great importance was about, that I supposedly have.  When I blurted out that I had the same birthmark as Aunt Cecily, mom snapped at Jess and I and told us to go outside and play.  She said they were discussing grown folks, business."  Stacy lifted the palm of her right hand.  She stared at her birthmark.  Her birthmark was the same symbol on the old woman's faded, cloth.
"Ankh, child!  Your birthmark is the symbol of Ankh," explained the old woman.
     "Ankh?  What does it mean?"
"Listen closely, child.  Ankh is an ancient, Egyptian symbol.  It is the symbol of life and fertility.  The circle at the top of the symbol is female.  This here shape of the cross at the bottom of the circle is male.  Ankh is believed to have ancient, magical, significance!  Child, you are truely blessed.  Truly, blessed," praised the old woman.  "Believe in yourself!  Believe in your true calling of the ankh!  Together, we will get your sister back here where she belongs.  Child, the time is now!  We shall began the revolution of the souls," preached the old woman.
The old woman took four, white candles from her cloth bag.  She placed a candle at each corner of the old, cloth with the ankh symbol on it.  She then folded her deformed, hands into prayer position.  The old woman closed her eyes tightly.  Deep concentration appeared on her ancient features.  Silence hovered the room.  A mysterious tune began to linger in the silence.
A heavenly, whisper of a harp caressed the silence.  Soft whispers from a flute crept in.  Light rhythms of barrel drums blended in.  Sensational cymbals woven into perfect formations of what sounded like a mystic orchestra.
"It's breathtaking!  So musically inclined," whispered Stacy.  She noticed the old woman's features began to soften.  Slowly, the old woman opened her eyes.
"Shemayet.  The heavenly music you hear is of highest, status of our Egyptian people.  It's position is frequently held by women.  Open your hand, child."  The old woman took an instrument out from her cloth, bag.  She carefully placed it in Stacy's right hand.
"What is it?"  Stacy examined the antique, instrument delicately.
"It's called a sistrum, child.  It's the most highly, important rattle used in our Egyptian ancestors religious, worship.  You must close your eyes.  Take some deep breaths.  Hold the sistrum on your heart.  You must not only hear the music.  You must feel it to," said the old woman.
"Egyptian?  I think I remember mom and Aunt Cecily speaking of my great, great, great grandmother, Ankhetitat.  I remember asking mom how to pronounce the name.  Why it sounded so different?  What it meant?  Mom told me to hush and stay out of grown folks business.  The secretive, conversations between mom and Aunt Cecily about our matching birthmarks, great, great, great grandmother, Ankhetitat, became such a mystery to me.  It made me wander what the big, secret was."
Stacy continued to study the ancient, antique instrument.  Just as if she knew she would find answers to her mom and Aunt Cecily's secrets.
"Child, you will have all the answers you seek in time.  Now, hold the sistrum on your heart.  Close your eyes.  Feel the sistrum's enchanted power!"
Stacy closed her eyes.  She took slow, steady, deep breaths.  Her heartbeat instantly began in rhythm with the mystic orchestra.  She placed the sistrum on her heart.  Stacy then placed the sistrum six inches away from her heart.  Gently, Stacy shook the sistrum from left to right three times.  Then she paused briefly.  She did this consistently.  With such natural grace, Stacy was in tune with the mystic orchestra.  She slowly opened her eyes.
"I can feel it!  I can feel the power!  I'm in rhythm with the mystic orchestra.  I can play the sistrum!  Old woman, do you hear me?  Are you, o.k.?"  Stacy noticed a strange, misty fog surrounding her and the old woman.  Yet, she continued playing the sistrum.  It became of natural instinct to Stacy.
"Yes, child.  I am fine," answered the old woman.  The old woman lifted her head slowly.
Stacy was unsure of why the old woman's head seemed smaller.  Not in human size.  Stacy thought it must of been the strange, misty fog clouding her view.  Somewhat of a mirage.  Until the fog began to subside.
"Who are you?  What are you?  Where is the old woman," asked Stacy.  Strangely, Stacy felt at peace.  Non-threatened by what she saw.
"It's me, child," answered the old woman.  Her head was definitely not human anymore!  It was one of a wild cat!  The eyes still of fierce, passion of fire!  Eyes, still misty, smoke gray.  The eyes of a wild cat!
"Your head is one of a cat?  Your body is still human, though," whispered stacy in awe!
"Yes, child.  In ancient Egyptian culture, I am what is known as, Bastet."
"So, is that your name?"  Stacy stared admiring the Bastet's antique, jewlery that appeared on her now, cat head.  The Bastet wore beautiful, small, gold-hoop earrings in each ear.  Also, Bastet had a matching gold, nose ring.
"What you call me is not of importance now, child.  We have a journey to begin, together.  In time, you will have the answers you seek.  It's time to perform the sacred ceremony," insisted Bastet.

GHOSTLY TOES IN CANDY LAND

"Ghostly toes, ghostly toes, our mystery tonight, you only know," whispered Peaches to her ten, snow-pea shaped toes.  Peaches rubbed them together softly.  She fell fast asleep into a magical dream land.
     "Boo-hoo!  Where are you?  Boo-hoo!"
Peaches woke up to a little voice crying.  Peaches rubbed her coal, colored eyes.  Then she placed her thick, black, shiny curls of hair behind her ears.  Peaches stood straight up and hugged her blanket, Ki-Ki.
"Wow!  Where are we, Ki-Ki?"  Peaches saw red, yellow and green gum drop stools.  She saw candy coated pop corn ball bushes.  Peaches loved the purple and blue lolli pop trees.  The chocolate river had her ghostly toes happily tapping on the rainbow, sprinkle grass.  "Who would cry living here in Candy Land, Ki-Ki?  Lets go see!"
Peaches and Ki-Ki strolled through Candy Land.  She stopped at a green, gum drop stool.  "Hello.  Why are you crying?  What's your name?"  Peaches was shocked to see a little, green leprechaun sitting on the green, gum drop stool.
"Boo-hoo!  My name is John Leprechaun.  I can't find my rainbow!  My feet hurt!  Leave me alone," shouted John Leprechaun.
"You sure are mean!  My name is Peaches.  This is my blanket, Ki-Ki.  Maybe we can help you," explained Peaches.  She smiled at John Leprechaun.
"I don't need or want your help!  I know why you're here.  You want to steal my rainbow!  It's mine, mine, mine," screeched John Leprechaun.
"No.  That's not true.  Ki-Ki and I want to help you," said Peaches.
"Ki-Ki?  How can a blanket help me?  How did you get to Candy Land?"  John Leprechaun's right eyebrow raised up to a angry point.
"Ki-Ki wants to dry away the tears on your face."  Peaches gently patted Ki-Ki on John Leprechaun's teary eyes and cheeks.  "My ghostly toes are magic.  I rub them together at night."  Peaches wiggled her ten, ghostly toes together for John Leprechaun to see.  "Magically, they take Ki-Ki and I on fun adventures in my dreams.  That's how I got to Candy Land," explained Peaches.
"Really?  Magic ghostly toes?"  John Leprechaun sniffled.  He then leaped off the green, gum drop stool.  He landed on the rainbow sprinkled grass.  "Ouch!  My feet hurt so badly," yelped John Leprechaun.  "I'm to short to find my rainbow!  My boots are worn out!  I don't even have heels on my boots anymore," sadly said John Leprechaun.
"I see," said Peaches.  "What are those?"
     "What is what?"
"Those."  Peaches pointed down to the rainbow, sprinkle grass by John Leprechaun's pointed, black boot.
"I got hungry looking for my rainbow.  They're mini-rainbow, colored marshmallows," snapped John Leprechaun.
"I have a great idea!"  Peaches had John Leprechaun take off his worn-out, boots.  She then stuffed the boots with mini-rainbow, colored marshmallows.  "Now, try on your boots."
"Wow!  My feet have yummy cushions.  I even feel taller!  This is great!  I can go find my rainbow!  Thank you Peaches and Ki-Ki," said John Leprechaun with a grin.
John Leprechaun stood up proud and tall.  He straightened his black, shiny hat on his head.  He tightened his black and gold belt.  He even brushed off his green, glitter suit.
"Come on, John Leprechaun.  We are going to find your rainbow," cheered Peaches.
Peaches, Ki-Ki and John Leprechaun strolled through Candy Land to find the rainbow.  They nibbled on strawberry, taffy pathways.  They snacked on sugar, cookie flowers with ginger-bread stems.  The search for the rainbow was sweet!
"Peaches, would you and Ki-Ki like to sail on the Chocolate River?"
"Yes!  We sure would, John Leprechaun," giggled Peaches.
John Leprechaun skipped with Peaches and Ki-Ki to the Chocolate River.  Peaches was amazed!  There sat a banana-split boat at the Chocolate River.
"Ghostly toes and Ki-Ki's first," chuckled John Leprechaun.
"Thank you, kind sir," replied Peaches.  Peaches and Ki-Ki climbed aboard the banana-split boat.  John Leprechaun leaped and climbed aboard as well.  The three friends sailed down the Chocolate River.
"I must find my rainbow!  There may even be a pot of gold at the end of my rainbow," explained John Leprechaun.
"Ghostly toes, ghostly toes, our mystery, only you know," whispered Peaches whils rubbing her toes together, softly.  "Hey!  Something just dropped on my head," said Peaches.
"Mine, too!  What's going on?"  John Leprechaun looked up into the blue, sky.
"Wow!  It's sprinkling candy-corn!  Hooray," giggled Peaches.
"Look, Peaches.  There is the sun!  My rainbow must be near," suggested John Leprechaun.
"I see the sun, too.  Ki-Ki and I love candy-corn."
"I have a great idea!  Peaches, may I please borrow, Ki-Ki?"
"Sure, you can."  Peaches handed John Leprechaun her Ki-Ki.  He folded Ki-Ki in half.  John Leprechaun caught several pieces of candy-corn with Ki-Ki.
"Here, Peaches.  Now you have candy-corn to snack on.  Thanks for your help, Ki-Ki," chuckled John Leprechaun.
"Thank you, John Leprechaun and Ki-Ki," said Peaches.  "Would you like some candy-corn, John Leprechaun?"
"Yes, please.  Thanks for sharing with me, Peaches," answered John Leprechaun.
"Look!  Look, over there!  Do you see it?"  Peaches pointed toward the blue, sky.
"My rainbow!  I see it!  I see it," cheered John Leprechaun with a huge grin.
Peaches, Ki-Ki and John Leprechaun sailed back to the rainbow, sprinkle grass.  They leaped off the banana-split boat.  They ran quickly to the rainbow!
"It's beautiful!  I love the yellow, orange, red, blue and purple colors," said Peaches.
"Ouch!  Ouch!  My mini-rainbow, colored marshmallows have melted in my boots.  I'm not tall anymore.  But I am happy that you and Ki-Ki helped me find my rainbow," chuckled John Leprechaun.
"Ghostly toes, ghostly toes, our mystery, only you know," whispered Peaches while rubbing her toes together.  "Look, John Leprechaun!"  Peaches pointed to a big, green, four-leaf clover.  It magically appeared on the rainbow, sprinkled grass.  It was next to the rainbow.
"Hop on, Peaches and Ki-Ki.  We're going over the rainbow," cheered John Leprechaun!
The three friends rode the magic, clover up and over the rainbow.  They laughed and giggled over the rainbow.  Kerplunk!
"We've landed in a pot of gold!  Hooray!  You were right, John Leprechaun," agreed Peaches.  Peaches held Ki-Ki, tightly.  She climbed out of the pot of gold.
"Ouch!  What is poking me in my back?"  John Leprechaun pulled out a new pair of black, shiny, pointed boots from the pot of gold.  He carefully placed them onto the rainbow-sprinkle grass.  He had a smile from one pointed, ear to the next.  John Leprechaun leaped out of the pot of gold.
"Try them on, John Leprechaun," cheered Peaches.  She watched him peel off his, sticky, old, worn-out boots.
"They fit, perfectly!  My new boots even have a solid, heel!  I'm tall again, Peaches and Ki-Ki.  Hooray!  Hooray!  I want to thank you, your ghostly toes and Ki-Ki for this fun, magical adventure.  Now, I have a special gift for you both," said John Leprechaun.  He handed Peaches a small, green sack from his pocket.
     "Open it, Peaches."
"Wow!  Thank you, John Leprechaun," giggled Peaches.  Inside the small, green, sack were gold coins and several pieces of candy-corn.  "Thank you for sharing your gold with me and Ki-Ki.  Thank you for my favorite sweet, treat in Candy Land, candy-corn.  It's time for me and my ghostly toes to leave, now.  Ki-Ki, too.  Good-bye, John Leprechaun.  Enjoy the rainbow, your pot of gold and your new boots.

"ANKH" (sample: Chapter 1)

Sweet smells of summer breezes whispered through the screen door.  Morning sunrise danced on the windows.  Wild birds sang an unusual song.  That tune, one to never be forgotten!
"Jess, hurry!  You have to see this," screamed Stacy.
Screeching, black crows surrounded the land on Woodrow Farm.  Silence of the farm animals crept into the atmosphere.  Stacy covered her ears with her hands.  Her healing, crystal bracelet mysteriously turned black!
"Stacy, Stacy, what's wrong?  Are you, o.k.?"  Jess ran quickly down the steep, stair case.  Her heartbeat racing with every breath!  The tone of her sister, Stacy's scream sent chills up her spine!
"Stop it!  Stop it!  No!  I belong here with my sister," argued Stacy with an unknown entity.
"Stacy, let go of your ears!  You're hurting yourself!  Stacy, do you hear me?"
Jess began desperately prying Stacy's hands from her ears.  Warm blood began sliding down Jess's hands.  Terrified, Jess abruptly let go of Stacy's hands.  Still screaming horribly, Stacy forcibly rammed her thin body into Jess.  Stacy's sister, Jess fell to the floor.  Jess's medium, stocky body caused a harsh thud once her body hit the floor.  Eerily, her motionless body lay still.
"Jess, Jess," cried Stacy.  Stacy dropped to her knees, vigorously!  She began shaking her sister's motionless body in hopes of waking Jess.  The sight of blood struck dark fears in Stacy.  Crying and screaming, Stacy left her sister's lifeless body and ran outside.
It was if the earth stood still.  The wild, black crows became silent.  Not a sound from the farm animals.  The horses sinister stares, cold and distant.  The chickens stood oddly in a straight line.  The rooster stood perfectly still at the end of the line.  The goats, pigs and sheep appeared to form into the shape of Stacy's homemade, healing, crystal bracelet.  Each animal mysteriously faded to black!  Their eyes resembled coal.
"Welcome, child," spoke an unfamiliar voice.
Stacy was paralyzed in fear!  Her piercing, green eyes searched for the voice.  It seemed to be surfacing from a herd of cows.  Unsure, Stacy managed to slowly step towards the cows.  As she approached the cows, her breathing grew intense!  She could hear only her heartbeat.
"Who's there?  What's happening?  What did you do to my sister?"  Scared and angry, Stacy directed her fear to the unfamiliar voice.
"It's what you've done.  You've created this revolution of the souls!  Your spirit once was blessed.  Think, child.  Think back in time.  When your innocence was pure.  You were seven years old.  Your sister, Jess was nine.  I prayed and watched you both from above.  I heard your mother and Aunt Cecily discussing the mystical myth about the land here on Woodrow Farm.  I could hear, feel and smell their curiosity, doubts and fears," explained the voice.
A thick fog began to blanket the land.  Stacy felt tears rolling down her slender cheeks.  She feared the unknown presence.
"Where are you?  Please, please, show yourself!  My sister needs help," cried Stacy.  Her eyes started burning from the thick fog.  Stacy rubbed her eyes, rapidly.
"Take my hand, child.  Release your fears.  Believe in your true power," suggested the voice.
The thick, fog slowly cleared.  The burning in Stacy's eyes began to subside.  A powerful stench filled the air.  Stacy began to see visions of the horses galloping.  The galloping transformed into fierce speed and force!  Grunts not neighing from the horses broke the intense silence on Woodrow Farm.
Black crows screeched an ear aching tune.  Mysteriously, all the black crows formed a circle over the land.  Their flight, continuous speed!  In Stacy's eyes, the crow's appeared to be a black, circle of fury!
"What's happening?  Quiet!  Quiet," shouted Stacy!  Stacy spun around in circles.  She began to feel the earth's anger rumble under her feet.
"Child, come.  We must get into the house," demanded the voice!
     "You, do I know you?"
"Come now, child!  The sky and earth are angry!"  A slender arm extended a bony hand with crooked fingers.
Stacy grabbed onto the deformed hand.  The two raced towards the house where Jess was last known to be seen.  The earth's ground continued to rumble.  The other farm animals broke their unusual formations.  The animals natural colors reappeared.  All the animals scurried throughout the land.
Stacy and the elder woman continued running, quickly!  They stayed hand in hand.  It seemed as if they were racing through a maze of chaotic animals and shaking ground!
"Where is she?  Jess, where are you?  Where is my sister?"  Stacy screamed as she swung the see through, screen door open.  Stacy desperately dropped to her knees next to the antique, wooden chest.  Exactly where Jess was last seen.
"Child, look here," The old woman kneeled down next to Stacy.  Compassionately, she began to wipe the tears from Stacy's face.
"Don't touch me!  Don't you ever touch me!  What have you done with my sister?  Jess, Jess," screamed Stacy!
"Does this belong to your sister?"  The old, woman slowly opened her hand.
"Yes!  I made that for my sister.  Where is she?  What have you done?"  Stacy tried to snatch the healing, crystal bracelet from the old woman.
"Child, this healing, crystal bracelet is the entity to your sister's soul.  Your spirit is in turmoil.  Listen closely, child.  Look at your sister's bracelet.  Her healing crystals are of pure pastel colors.  She is untarnished of its presence.  Unaware of its darkness," carefully explained the old woman.
"Why?  Why my sister?  Why not me?"  Stacy slumped over in despair.
"Child, back when you were seven years old, I saw you digging in the dirt.  You were under the oak tree.  Your sister, Jess was nine.  She always loved climbing the oak tree.   Do you recall what you found in the dirt that day?"
"Yes.  I found the healing, crystals.  I made Jess and I bracelets out of the crystals.  What does that have to do with my sister disappearing?  Or the chaos outside on the farm?"  Stacy looked so confused!  She was at a loss for words.  Her sister was missing.  The animals were out of sorts.  The earth and the atmosphere were at war!
"Duck, child!"  The old woman threw her aged, body over Stacy's.  A black crow forcefully soared through the house window!  Shattered glass surrounded Stacy and the old woman.  "Child, are you, o.k.?"
"Yes.  I think so.  Are you?"
"Yes, child.  We must perform a sacred ceremony.  The spirit wants to challenge you!  Your love for your sister.  It wants to steal her soul for its innocence and use it for evil," explained the old woman.  She carefully raised up off of Stacy.  "Their evil sanctions can prosper only with innocence.  You were the first to locate and touch the healing, crystals.  Your intuition scares the evil within its entity."
"You were like an entity.  Out in the fog on the land.  I could not see you.  I felt your presence.  I heard your voice," replied Stacy.
"Yes, child.  When your fear turned to anger, our souls met.  I began to appear in human form.  Evil feeds on fear!  Your love for your sister will bring her back to you and the human world.  Your aura is a threat to the evil that lurks and haunts this land.  The black crow that crashed through the window, it's a warning from the evil force!  A warning for you to give in to evils wishes."
"No!  I will never give you my sister!  I will always love her!  Jess, can you hear me?  I will bring you back to me.  I promise.  I love you," vowed Stacy to her sister.

DADDY...

Eyes of wisdom, heart of steel,
strength of God guides you to feel...
See the horses, fish out in the sea,
eat your ice-cream,
Daddy, you're free...
No more pain, shall you not suffer anymore.
Tears are now whispers of times before.
I'll always hold you dear in my heart.
My love for you will never drift apart.
That last smile I recieved from you,
it showed me something special, just between me and you.
I will share that memory with our family and friends,
I will share that memory all the way to the end...
I love you so much, I'll miss you...
Love always, your baby girl,
Tiki...

FORGIVENESS...

Silent sins, again arised...
Merciful pain, shadows our lives,
luring in, victimized...
I pray for you, my brother...
Open your ebony eyes...
In God's name, hear our prayers...
Live your life, a precious gift from Jesus Christ, he scacrificed...
Our Father, brace his honor...
Accept his unconditional love...
Let his guidance release silent sins of times ago...
Step by step,
night by day,
kneel to our heavenly father...
I love you, my brother...
In God's name, we pray...

MY FIRST BORN...

Young in years,
inquisitively experienced at heart,
Father figure to your siblings,
my first born...
Your chestnut eyes,
reflect a mirror through to your soul, honor,
intelligence and pride...
I live to see you succeed with your goals!
Though in miles, a distance away,
you, my first born son,
I will always pray for your well-being,
mind, body and soul...
I miss you here with us...
Yet, where ever we are,
will forever be your home...

SERENITY SOULS

In their eyes, mama cries, daddy sighs, mama's wise!
Emptiness wepts his presence...
Mama's strength will prevent broken dreams, lonliness of his broken promises...
Heaven's prayers, blessed their souls, kept them reaching for their goals!
As time passed, they prevailed in their belief to share true honor, passion and dignity...
They all did succeed!

DEMI'S WORLD

Sweet innocence not understood by all.
Angelique face, eyes representing deepest colors of fall.
In your mysterious world, there are no fears...
Everything to you is genuinely dear.
As your protector, I try to shield ignorance,
hate and harm away from you...
For your heart is so real.
Some people stare, some people taunt,
some people curiously wonder what you're about...
At times when you'd wonder away from home,
taking bus and bart, in your world the traveling is fun...
Mommy drops to her knees, praying to God
and your angels I believe you can see...
Please God, please, protect him from any harm!
Sweet angels, please bring my baby boy back to my arms...
With prayer and guided help, I will succeed
to help you understand the dangers in this big world we live in...
I promise you, my son, I will find a way
to teach you these lessons
In your autistic world one day...
Mommy loves you, Demi...
In God's name, I pray...

GHOSTLY TOES IN CARNIVAL CLOUD

"Ghostly toes, ghostly toes, our mystery, only you know," whispered Peaches to her ten, snow-pea shaped toes.  She rubbed them together gently.  Peaches drifted off to dream land.
"I'm so bored!  Why do I have to be a cloud?  All I do is sit in the sky.  I want to go to a carnival," said a little, lonely cloud in the blue sky.
"A carnival?  That sounds like fun!  Hi, my name is Peaches.  This is my favorite blanket, Ki-Ki.  Where's the carnival?"
"Peaches?  Ki-Ki?  How did you get here?"  The little, lonely cloud floated closer to Peaches and Ki-Ki.
"I have magical, ghostly toes."  Peaches wiggled her toes.  "I whisper to them.  I rub them together softly.  They take Ki-Ki and I on fun adventures in dream land," giggled Peaches.
"There's no fun adventures here.  There's no fun in being a cloud!  There is no carnival.  I was just wishing.  My name is Chancey Cloud."
"Chancey Cloud, you are lucky to be a cloud.  You can do lots of fun things," said Peaches.
"Oh, yeah!  Like what?"  Chancey Cloud was doubtful.
"Close your eyes, Chancey Cloud.  Please, hold my hand," laughed Peaches.  "I will show you.  Ghostly toes, ghostly toes, our mystery, only you know," whispered Peaches to her ten, snow-pea shaped toes.  "Open your eyes, Chancey Cloud."
"Wow!  We're at a carnival in the clouds," cheered Chancey Cloud.
"What would you like to do first, Chancey Cloud?"  This is your special day," said Peaches.
"I want to ride the roller coaster of wind!  Come on Peaches and Ki-Ki."
Chancey Cloud took Peaches by the hand.  Peaches held Ki-Ki real tight.  They climbed on a cloud shaped like a roller coaster.  The wind took them up high in the blue, sky.  The wind blew them in loopty-loops.  The wind blew them back to the carnival in the clouds.
"Hooray!  That was fun," giggled Peaches.  "Lets go on the merry-go-round," said Peaches.  Racing the wind, Peaches, Ki-Ki and Chancey Cloud went to the merry-go-round.
"The merry-go-round has clouds shaped like sea horses and mermaids!  I want to ride a sea horse!"  Chancey Cloud floated onto a sea horse cloud.
"Ki-Ki and I are going to ride the mermaid cloud," cheered Peaches.  She held Ki-Ki tight.  Peaches climbed onto the mermaid cloud.  Round and round.  Round and round.  The wind blew the sea horse, mermaid, merry-go-round.
"That was great, Peaches.  What should we ride next?"
"Chancey Cloud, lets go to the bouncy house of clouds," suggested Peaches.  They raced with the wind.  Peaches, Ki-Ki and Chancey Cloud went straight to a huge cloud!
"I bet your ghostly toes will love this bouncy, house of clouds.  It's shaped like a jelly bean," giggled Chancey Cloud.
     "Come on in," cheered Peaches.
They jumped right in the huge, bouncy, cloud house shaped like a jelly bean.  Up and down and all around they jumped.
"That was so much fun, Peaches."
"It sure was, Chancey Cloud.  Ki-Ki liked it too.  I have enough time for one more ride.  I know the best ride of all.  Lets ride the rainbow, water slide!  Hooray," cheered Peaches.
Once again, they raced with the wind.  The rainbow, water slide sparkled yellow, orange, red, blue and purple colors.  A light sprinkle of rain made the rainbow, water slide fun and slippery.
"Come on, Peaches and Ki-Ki.  Lets slide.  Hooray!"
Peaches, Ki-Ki and Chancey Cloud let the wind blow them down the rainbow, water slide three times.  They laughed and laughed!  They slipped and slided!
"That was the best ride at this cloud carnival!  It's time for Ki-Ki and I to go now," said Peaches.
"Thank you so much, Ki-Ki, Peaches and your ghostly toes.  I had so much fun!  I'm proud to be a cloud," cheered Chancey Cloud!
"Good for you, Chancey Cloud.  I'm so glad Ki-Ki and I got to meet you.  My ghostly toes, too," giggled Peaches.  "Good-bye, Chancey Cloud."
Peaches gave Chancey Cloud a huge hug and a warm smile.  She held Ki-Ki tight.  Peaches closed her eyes.  "Ghostly toes, ghostly toes, our mystery, only you know," whispered Peaches to her ten, snow-pea shaped toes.  Peaches and Ki-Ki drifted back into dream land.

GHOSTLY TOES IN BILLY BULLY BLUE

"Ghostly toes, ghostly toes, our mystery, you only know," whispered Peaches to her ten, snow-pea shaped toes.  She rubbed them together softly.  Peaches drifted off into dream land.
"Ha-Ha!  Your ears are to long.  Your tail looks like a cotton ball.  Pew!  you stink like carrots," laughed Billy Bully Blue.
"Stop it!  Why do you tease me?  It's not nice," mumbled Ben Bunny.
"I'm Billy Bully Blue.  I'm the baddest billy goat on this farm.  I can do or say whatever I want to.  That's why!"
"Boo-hoo," cried Ben Bunny as he hopped away.  He hid behind the carrot patch.
"Why are you crying?  You're such a cute, fuzzy bunny," whispered a soft voice.
Ben Bunny looked up and saw a little girl.  She had long, dark, wavy hair.  Her eyes were big as buttons and the color of chocolate.  She was holding a blanket.
"Who are you?  I'm Ben Bunny.  I love to eat carrots."
"My name is Peaches.  This is my blanket, Ki-Ki."  Peaches dried Ben Bunny's tears with her soft, pastel colored blanket.  "My ghostly toes brought me here."  Peaches wiggled her ten, snow-pea shaped toes.  They're magic!  I rub them together.  I whisper to them.  Then my ghostly toes take me and Ki-Ki on magical adventures," giggled Peaches.
"Wow!  That's great!  But Billy Bully Blue is not a magical adventure.  He bullies me," said Ben Bunny.
"Not any more.  Ki-Ki and I are here to help.  Where is this Billy Bully Blue?"
"I think he's coming to the carrot patch now.  Listen and you can hear his hooves," whispered Ben Bunny.
"Stinky!  Ugly, cotton tail!  Wierd, long ears," teased Billy Bully Blue.  "I know you're hiding here in the carrot patch.  Come out, come out, where ever you are," laughed Billy Bully Blue.
"He's not stinky!  He is a cute Bunny.  Bunnies have cute, fuzzy tails.  Bunnies like to eat carrots.  All bunnies have long ears.  That's why bunnies have such good hearing," said Peaches.
"Who are you?"  Billy Bully Blue stopped in his tracks.  He stood very still.
"My name is Peaches.  This is my blanket, Ki-Ki.  These are my ghostly toes."  Peaches wiggled her ten, ghostly toes.  "Ben Bunny is my friend.  We are going on a fun, magical adventure!"
"Would you like to go with us, Billy Bully Blue?  We're going to have fun," cheered Ben Bunny.
"Me? No!  There's no such thing as a magical adventure.  I'm staying right here!I'm going to crush your carrots with my hooves," snapped Billy Bully Blue.  He then began crushing the carrots.
"Ghostly toes, ghostly toes, our mystery, you only know," whispered Peaches to her ten, snow-pea shaped toes.  Peaches, Ki-Ki and Ben Bunny vanished in thin air!
"Where did they go?  Ben Bunny did care that I was crushing his carrots."  Billy Bully Blue was confused.  He began to hear laughing.  He looked to his left.  He looked to his right.  He saw nothing.
"Tag!  You're it," laughed Ben Bunny as he hopped around the farm.
"I'm going to catch you," giggled Peaches while skipping with Ki-Ki in her hand.
Peaches, Ki-Ki and Ben Bunny were having a great time while playing tag.  They hopped, skipped and ran all over the farm.  They tagged each other back and forth.
"Where are you guys?  I can hear you but I can't see you," shouted Billy Bully Blue.
"We are playing tag!  My ghostly toes have made us invisible.  We can see you but you can't see us," explained Peaches to Billy Bully Blue.
"You can't bully me if you can't see me," giggled Ben Bunny.  To their surprise, Billy Bully Blue stopped crushing the carrots with his hooves.
"I'm sorry for bullying you, Ben Bunny.  I want to have a magical adventure.  I'm sorry for crushing your carrots with my hooves."  Billy Bully Blue had made an honest apology.
"Ghostly toes, ghostly toes, our mystery, only you know," whispered Peaches to her ten, snow-pea shaped toes.
"I accept your apology.  Tag, your it," laughed Ben Bunny while he tagged Billy Bully Blue.
"I can see you guys now," chuckled Billy Bully Blue.
Peaches, Ki-Ki, Ben Bunny and Billy Bully Blue enjoyed playing tag all together.  They skipped, galloped and hopped through their magical adventure.
"Ghostly toes, ghostly toes, our mystery, only you know," whispered Peaches to her ten, snow-pea shaped toes.  Like magic, they all reappeared in the carrot patch.
"Look, everybody!  The carrots are not crushed anymore," cheered Billy Bully Blue.
     "You're right," agreed Ben Bunny.
"It's magic," explained Peaches.  "It's time for Ki-Ki, my ghostly toes and I to go now.  We had so much fun with you both."
"Thank you so much, Peaches.  You to, Ki-Ki," said Ben Bunny.
"Yes, thank you Peaches and Ki-Ki.  I had so much fun on our magical, adventure.  I now have new friends,"" agreed Billy Bully Blue.
"You're both very welcome.  Good bye."  Peaches rubbed her ghostly toes together softly.  She whispered to her ghostly toes again.  Peaches and Ki-Ki drifted back to dream land.
